Stanley in Classic Car of the Year Top 20

Post by Ian Grace »

This message just in from Roger Gaunt and Martin Redmond. Martin brought Stanley to display at Pre-War Prescott and is a very supportive VMR member, so please go vote for Stanley! This is the Morris that Roger and Martin drove around the world in last year.

"We have been advised that Stanley has been chosen, by the judges, to go through to the top 20 of the Classic Car of the Year Competition. It is now up to the public to vote for their favourite.

Stanley will be exhibited at the Classic Car Show, held in the NEC, Birmingham, mid November. And so Martin and I need your help in ensuring that Stanley isn't in the top 20, he has to be the top ONE!!! Please go to http://www.ccoty.co.uk and follow the link to vote. Stanley is towards the bottom of the next page you get to.

Stanley is the only entry to have undertaken a major journey, the other cars have simply been re-conditioned, so they are nothing special.

Please vote for Stanley, and get your friends to do so as well.

Roger "

This just in from Roger Gaunt:

"Just to let you all know that Stanley has been voted as one of the top 5 in the Classic Car of the year competition.

Martin Redmond will be attending a dinner in Birmingham shortly where the winner will be announced.

How the last 5 get whittled down to the last one I am not sure, but thanks to all who voted (and your friends as well!) it was through you that we got this far.

Watch the web page where you voted for the latest results."

Thanks to everyone who voted for Stanley. 8) 8) 8)
