Ian,

Thanks !!
I am going to replace the gears only and use the same box that came with the car.
Now I shall wait for the shipment to arrive from the UK, and then update on the progress.

regards

Did anyone ever try and put feelers out to see how many people were interested in new gear sets?

The drive quality has improved a lot in my car and the gear noise is gone,
even the 1st and 2nd are smooth , I would highly recommend to replace the gears,
I was lucky that the gears supplied by Ian Harris were from a car which must have
not done many miles.

around 6 years ago I suggested new gear sets but no takers, plus everyone said they always were noisy. since then I have seen a number of internals and I am surprised that I have yet to see an excessively worn or damaged gear!
if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear
