Morris Cars Centenary 2013

Post by Ian Grace »

There will be a major Morris gathering at Gaydon on Sunday 14th July to celebrate the Centenary of the Morris. We already have a slot booked at Prescott for Pre-War Prescott 2013, so I will see if we can arrange this for Saturday 13th so that we can visit Gaydon the day after. That should make a busy weekend.

There is a lot more rally news in the pipeline, so watch this space.

This website is an interclub effort to bring together all morris products to try and pool all resources rather than numerous small events, the spring Beaulieu Autojumble gathering on 18th/19th May is to focus on Morris cars alongside the jumble and the main International Centenary is being organised for Cornbury Park, Charlbury, Oxon (technically the county of origin for our minors!) on 15th and 16th June.
Plenty for the Minor man in 2013! :D
if it's got wheels or chips - it'll cost you dear

Toby,

The link is for the Morris Minor Owners' Clubs centenary rally in Oxford in June. The centenary rally we will be supporting is the one at Gaydon in July which is being co-ordinated by the Bullnose Morris Club. This will take place on Sunday 14th July and so we will gather at Manor Farm, Peatling Magna that weekend and drive across to Gaydon for the Sunday gathering. Pre-War Prescott and our Summer Rally will take place the following weekend. I'm in contact with the BNMC and should have details and prices for the day shortly. It will probably be a bit of a beauty pageant, but at least we will have driving tests and a short tour on Saturday and a drive across from Leicestershire on Sunday morning and it will be god to meet up with our BNMC friends at the museum. Derek Tew, one of the Gaydon archivists, is currently joining the Register and we are talking about getting the OHC Minor in the museum out and lined up with our cars.
