Sorry not answered your question earlier, I was measuring with a digital voltmeter which I find may not have measured
correctly, I will measure again with my old voltmeter and see what reading I get and let you know. Thanks

Answer to your first question,No, I have been around vintage cars to long to expect that from a 6volt
be great if it would.
Your second point is of interest, I am not at the moment trying to start the car as it has been a rewire job,did it myself,
and I run all new battery cables etc. With the 57ah battery fully charged battery turnover was so slow it would never have started.
With the fully charged 80ah battery it did spin over a bit faster and it may have started. But it was still slower than I would have expected. Thanks very much for your interest,will let you know how I get on. Regards, Mike
