An interesting find

Here's a fascinating find. Take a look at this 1934 Minor. It's a LWB chassis with 2-seater body. Probably a cut-down saloon? Well, no. The car is in Perth, Australia and the body has a Holden Brothers coachbuilder's plate - body number 26. What we have here is the only known Australian-bodied LWB Minor chassis. Most Australian export chassis were despatched in late 1928 and 1929, with a handful in 1930, so finding a 1934 chassis is rare, and finding a 1934 LWB chassis is unique.

This gets even more interesting. Holden production records show that Holdens only bodied three Minors in 1934. Two were tourers and one was a roadster - which must therefore be this car. That would explain why no other has turned up - it is truly unique!

And here's the rear end. Quite the most interesting body I have seen on a LWB chassis. Note the spacious dickey seat.
