Around the world in a Morris 25

Post by Ian Grace »

Further to the piece (9/5) on the website, Martin asked if we had a member in California who could service the Morris once it arrives in Long Beach. He was put in touch with Ed Morrison, who owns a Minor saloon and who is a leading light at the Estrella Warbird Museum in Paso Robles. Ed has leaped into action in support of this fantastic endeavour, made all the more admirable by the fact that, since commencing planning for the trip, Martin has undergone treatment for prostate cancer, but decided to go ahead with the round the world trip anyway. That is true courage.

Ed has spent a lifetime in aviation, which is a story for another day, but for the meantime, here's a photo of Ed, now aged 75, but here aged 13 in his first car - a 1930 Ford Roadster that he drove in the desert because he was not of age to drive on the streets. Another true vintage character.
