Squealing Brakes

Since getting the Semi Sports roadworthy my driving enjoyment has been tempered by the awful noise from the brakes whenever they were applied. Whilst attending the rally in Dorset I noticed that David Roscoe had extra large Jubilee clips attached around the brake drums of his car. He told me that his car had suffered from a similar problem and that these bands had cured it.
My Coachbuilt Saloon has what looks like custom built, one inch bands around both rear drums but none on the front and the brakes do squeal but with nothing like the intensity of those on the Semi Sports. Certainly not loud enough to spoil my enjoyment of driving. Hmmm!
Anyway to cut an already long story short Roger Lucke sourced the extra large Jubilee Clips for me http://www.cromwell.co.uk - I needed 10.5 inch items for my 9 inch drums, (ex Morris 8?) and when fitted and tested there was SILENCE and my neighbour on the corner can now dispense with her ear plugs. A cheap and simple fix.
