The first photo was taken by Gren Strickland at the spring 2002 Shoulder of Mutton pub meet. The photo was taken at the police college at Bramshill in the afternoon after the lunchtime pub visit. The Shoulder of Mutton meet was the precursor of the Hatchgate meet.

The second photo was taken by John Nagle at the VMR meet at the Hatchate last Sunday. 23 Morris Register members turned up, including just four VMR members, and in the car park was Pat Guthrie-Jones' saloon and John brought his 2-seater on a trailer - see pic on the website home page.

In the spring of 2002, the Register membership was about a third of what it is now.

For the VMR meet this autumn, I'm looking for ways to organize a meet that looks more like the first than the second picture. My suggestion is a local run out after the pub meet, but then we tried that last year with a run out to the local Milestones Museum which took Toby Sears a weekend to organize and had one taker. Ideas, guys?

that was about 5 years ago..... lack of minors wasn't a problem though... nobody seemed to want to do a run out in them :?
