Rally Report :
This was the 14th Rajputana vintage and classic car rally , which is held every year in feb,
all in all 104 cars particpated , around 60 vintage and rest classics ( vintage is pre 1940 here ).
The first day was the exhibit and the judging and the next day was for the drive through the city , a lunch break and
then the presentation, there were three judges, all of them eminent car collectors /restorers.
They liked the car , were surprised to find a Morris MINOR, and that too OHC , they liked the effort and the research,
there were 1 point rasied by them about the originality of the side lamps and the head lights,
they refused to believe that they came with the original car as , the lucas emblem on the headlight was on the sides and not on the top , I tried convincing them , but they wanted more evidence, so finally i had to print many pictures and show them the position of the emblem, ( this should be a topic for a new thread) showed them the part numbers from the parts list and yeah, they had to take back their words.
The drive on the next day was good, we did some 20 miles and it was fun driving, some issues, which I will come back to later.
There were 6 more Newly restored cars in the fray, but none of them stood a chance, so much detailing went into the minor,
and this was all thanks to the two clubs PWMN & VMR in Albhabetical order.
I am so thankful to all the people who guided and helped me with techincal , moral and spares support,
I would need more support as I am sure many new issues will crop up when I start driving the car more often.
Special Thanks To our two Heroes : Chris Lambert and Ian Grace , for both of them the less spoken is better,
because words wont do justice to their effort , also Many thanks to Tony Gamble , Mike Houston , Ian Harris ,
vintage supplies and ofcourse ebay for spare's/parts support and for all of you who kept motivating me and helping me to
get USJ 1795 to be the only known running Prewar OHC minor on the Sub-continent.
Best wishes and Cheers
Kartik

Hi Kartik,
So I'm guessing you'll need photos of the front bucket and rear bench seat, plus pics of the door trims? I'll see what I can dig out for you.

OK Kartik.
The floor carpet is original in my fabric saloon and would be the same in the tourer, so I'll see if I can get some good photos of it this weekend. I just did a similar exercise for Martin Redmond last weekend who wanted details of the original external fabric, so I took about 30 images and sent them to him on a CD. I'll do the same for you with the seats, trim and carpets.

Here is shot of USJ from the Rally Day with freshly painted wheels and hood cover , New upholstery and a carpet.
flying the flag of our Minor's !! The British connection here is that Chief guest is none other than
Lord Diljit Rana ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diljit_Rana,_Baron_Rana)
The rally in itself was great fun on both days, drove her without any issues at all.
