Tony Gamble's 1928 fabric saloon

Post by Ian Grace »

Tony has sold his 1928 fabric saloon SK 1508 (MM1243) to Norman Fisher, a friend of Mike Hewson (he with the ex-Captain McLeod fabric saloon with the supercharged MG Q Type engine) who is joining the VSCC and intends to compete with it. As far as I know, this will be the earliest Minor ever seen on VSCC/LCES events. The car has not run very far for over ten years, so is receiving a little mechanical TLC to bring it up to full road-sorted status.

We look forward to seeing it out and about before too long.

Tony has also sold his OHC fire engine replica (UD 2682), but has filled the garage space with the ex-Sam Christie, ex-Garry Waiting M Type GH 6758 (2M/2019).
