LWB chassis for possible exchange

An elderly gentleman from Frome keeps phoning me to see if I have a short minor chassis for sale. He has a collection of pre war morris and MG parts from which he is determined to build a 'pre-war' looking special - 'a bit like a MG M type'. He has aquired a long wheelbase minor chassis which is missing its rear spring hangers but otherwise in good condition. However, he wants his car to look like a m type so he wants to shorten the chassis and put dumb irons on it. He is also keen to use a BMC enigine. I have tried to persuade him that it would be a shame to cut up an original chassis ( which he agrees ) and that a more approriate vintage special could be constructed on the chassis without altering it. I think he is probably out of touch with the various morris and Mg clubs. He asked me if I new of any other chassis for sale. If anyone has an already modified short chassis they could exchange or any alternative ideas please let me know.
