Janie and Phil Shepherd, and Macmillan Cancer Support

Postby Ian Grace » Fri Apr 03, 2015 4:09 pm

Janie (nee Maeers) and her husband Phil are off this weekend to the Isle of Wight in Prudence, their 1929 tourer, to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support. They are heading down from Leicestershire and calling in to see Clive and Toddy Hamilton-Gould near Bicester on the way south to the ferry. Expect to see lots of photos of the trip!

I would strongly urge everyone to visit Janie's JustGiving website and make a donation to this fantastic cause.

Find it at https://www.justgiving.com/Janie-Shepherd.

Thanks!

Sorry to correct your typing miss take...I think you meant to say 'Maisie has a ticket to Ryde'!

Wow, Janie and Phil dosen't Prudence scrub up well!!
I am so glad that you have had a wonderful trip and managed to cull so much charity support.
Just 32 days before our epic trip from Northampton to the West Country, let's hope we are as successful.

Hi Janie and Phil, we will be following in your 'eventing' footsteps on 5th May and will get back home on the 12th so it will be week's holiday for us if all goes well.
We are taking things fairly easily, at the start at least. To Bourton-on-the-Water (60 miles) on day one and then Gloucester to our niece in in Stroud (20 miles) on day two and to our daughter in Bristol on day 3 (40miles).
A day's rest in Bristol before we travel on to Minehead and then to Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor for one night (80 miles).
The following day to Lacock (85 miles) and another day's R&R before the long trip back to Northampton (another 100 miles)via Burford where we are due to meet an old school friend for lunch.
With good weather and a strong little car we should have some fun.
I'll post some information and images as we go.
