New for 2008! Membership Referral Scheme

Post by Ian Grace »

For 2008 and until further notice, a Membership Referral Scheme is being implemented.

If, as an existing VMR member, you introduce a new member to the Register, you will be eligible for a £10 (or equivalent in other currencies) discount on your next year’s Register subscription when that new member joins us.

In addition, you may refer more than one new member. If you introduce two new members in the year, then your next year's subscription will be completely free! For three or more referrals, WE will pay YOU ten Pounds per member!

The objective of the scheme is to try to involve members in Register recruiting, a task which until now has largely been handled by VMR HQ. In particular, we know that there very many SV Minor and M Type owners out there who are not members, but in most cases have never heard of the Vintage Minor Register! In addition, the combined VMR membership must know many more potential SV and M-owning members than I do. The system works by the addition of a simple Referring Member section on the revised 2008 Membership Form, downloadable from the website. Check it out at http://www.vintageminor.co.uk/Membership.doc

A similar scheme has been implemented for the Early Morris Society to help get it going, and since all VMR members are automatically EMS members as well, VMR members can make even more money signing up new EMS members at 5 or 10 Pounds a time, depending on whether they join as Web or Full members.

So here is your opportunity to support the Register, and the EMS, by actively seeking out new members, and making a little beer money on the side!

Gentlemen, start your engines! :D

This scheme was a great success - five members benefited from this scheme in 2008, making themselves fifty quid between them, so it will now become permanent!
