King Michael's 1928 Minor

Post by Ian Grace »

See the headline story on the website. The owners in Romania are looking for recommendations for a UK restorer. If anyone has a recommendation, please let me know so that we can provide them with some options.

My immediate thoughts turned to Dave Cooksey, but I am not sure how much work he is taking on these days, as Wendy is very sick and he has to spend a lot of time looking after her.

This is going to be a fascinating restoration to follow, and I wil try to arrange for the car to join us at a future Summer Rally before being returned to Romania.

I can highly recommend Oliver Richardson, who knows and works with Dave Cooksey. Oliver specializes in MGs but might be interested in this challenge. I will see him just before PWP and can ask him if you wish.

Good morning Roger,

Thanks - that would be a great help. It will be fascinating to see this unique Minor rebuilt in the UK, and if the timing works out, it might get its debut at our Summer Rally next year before returning abroad.
