Ian,

Misunderstood Roger Birds email about cylinder head thickness - his is 41 mm thick so similar to Ian Harris's. Was your head/ combustion chambers copper plated ?

The previous reference to cylinders 2 & 3 referred to the block as the exhaust valves are adjacent and need the heat to be transferred away as quickly as possible. The cleaner to get rid of the limescale here is Fernox DS [kettle and iron cleaner].

Simon

PS Do you want me to search for a replacement head for you.

Ian,

The cleaner should have been Fernox DS3.

Ronald Hogg is having a clean out and may have the floor brackets , according to Harry Edwards manual are the same for SV & OHC.

I could do with a 6V SU fuel pump at a reasonable price. Unless anyone else can supply?

6V SU pump. Not now going to Beaulieu. May I humbly suggest that you buy a new pump from Burlen with alloy base [ £100 + VAT] or brass base [£200 +VAT] as any s/hand 6V pump, not particularly common, would need to be refurbished with at least a new diaphragm to cope with modern fuel [refurb kit £30 + VAT]. Would the price be negotiable !!

Simon, the brass one is being sold by 'Fairorgan', which I suspect is Nick Williams. I have e-mailed him
