Hey all

Due to a change in circumstances I am parting with my 1929 Minor saloon which was repatriated from New Zealand a few years ago. You have all probably seen info on it here before, but just as a summary here is the background to the car.
It was brought back from New Zealand around 2008 having spent most of its life there. It was discovered in original condition and restored in early 2000s but unfortunately never finished as the owner died. It was brought back in 2008 and finished off before I bought it at auction in Nov 2011. Since then I have had the engine out in order to sort out a loose flywheel and at the same time replace the clutch. I also took the liberty of stripping the engine and cleaned it all up, all the white metal is good and the bores clean. I had the cylinder head completely rebuilt with new valves, guides, rockers and a 12/12 cam plus new bevel gears. This was carried out by Andy King (MG REstorer) at a cost of £2000 and the engine feels much better for it. It has a new Bosch distributor which has the added advantage of auto advance and it also has a rebuilt dynamo and flashing indicators
The cars runs well and cruises at 40-45 mph and doesn't burn any oil. The interior is in great condition and the paintwork sound. Brakes are good both on foot and the hand transmission.

I am looking for around the £9000 mark for this car and viewing is available. I can be contacted either via email 'lee.robertson1980@gmail.com' or by telephone 07818 006269. If I don't answer please leave your details and I will get back to you. Pictures posted below.

Hi Lee,

Mike Tebbett just sent me a copy of your car at the Royal Oak at Much Marcle earlier today!

Sorry to hear that you are parting with it - I will help put the word out for you.

Ian

The car is now sold to another VSCC member so I am sure it will still be seen around at events.
