Suddenly withdrawn with 4+ days to go, when phoned to enquire why, "I had a good offer, bird in the hand etc". What do people not understand about the concept of an auction?

I'm not that certain how eBay works, of if there were bids already, but if there were bids lodged already, then this might contravene eBay's code of practice?
Anyway, let's hope the spares are going to where they will do a Minor some good!
