Austin Morris Day, Brooklands, 9th March

Post by Ian Grace »

Anyone going to this? Mostly post-war Morrises, but a few pre-war examples usually turn up, and there is the opportunity to climb the hallowed Test Hill and also fly the flag for the Register.

Thanks to Simon Hodgins for bringing this to our attention.

Hope to go with the CMS but it is weather dependant, 150 miles in torrential rain and high winds is masochism not fun.

Superb weather, much better trip than I anticipated the CMS going very well and once used to, a very pleasant drive. 75 miles in 2 1/2 hours on non motorway/dual carriageway roads is not to be sneezed at and not much slower than that achieved in my 8 Tourer. Only two minors, I will send pics to you direct Ian as I still can't see how to shrink them, and very few Morrises generally, compared to the number of Austins (Pre-War this is).

Thanks Philip, and delighted your ownership of this rare special has got off to such a good start. Also delighted to see the weather looking up at last!
