Fuel Tank !!!!!!!!!

Been a busy day again,, fuel tank removed and this is only a fraction of the crap that came out of it!!!!! :shock:
What do you guys recommend for cleaning tank out and also to possibly reseal it afterwards????

This might be the reason you're lacking in acceleration.........

have you removed the fuel inlet into the carb.... there is probably a fine filter in there, if its full of crap the car will run, but could easily be low on power!!

You can get cheap plastic inline fuel filters that can be fitted easily. I always use them to make sure the carb. doesn't get clogged. The OHC bottom feed carb. has no filter in it, unlike the SV top feed.

Hi guys, thanks for the input, I have since disconnected the full system, the petrol pump filter appeared fine, however I couldn't find a filter at he carb fuel inlet when I disconnected it, (above the float chamber), but when I removed the pipe there was quite a bit of sediment lying there, I think I will go the full way now and clean out the carb.

What would use recommend for flushing the tank out??
Would you recommend a sealer afterwards?? :)
