around 6 years ago I suggested new gear sets but no takers, plus everyone said they always were noisy. since then I have seen a number of internals and I am surprised that I have yet to see an excessively worn or damaged gear!

This has been the bane of my life over the last 6 years! "tight" is the official morris figure, I agree with Trevor, I have snapped/pulled studs and cracked a block at around 24lb. Catch 22 is that ideally on an engine this old that has been regularly decoked for the first 20 years of it's...

An update!
I am now willing to seperate. Front wings £220 pair. Rear wings £180 pair. Door skins £50 pair. Front valence, suits '33 and '34 model, £50 or swap for pre '33 type in steel or fibreglass. Body £250

Also swb 1934 chassis (has hydraulic brake brackets) £250

I think the problem is probably in our interpretation of what we buy. There used to be cheap reconditioned engines for sale in the thames valley trader but the dearer companies always listed that they renewed all bearings, pistons, camshafts, rebored the block etc. The cheaper engines would be strip...

I am having a similar problem with a dynamo from the same company but can only dream of 10 amps, I can get 3-6 on winter but discharge with headlamps on, looking inside it looks as if it has been repaired rather than fully rebuilt

Yes! £650, not £850 as in the latest newsletter! It is just a fibreglass body and requires some sort of framing to strengthen it and allow wing fixing etc.

I have found a pair with slot on opposite side to post while clearing out non minor stuff although the box says 1931-33! £65 plus p& p. Any takers.... :D

I've used him and although he can seem a little brusque I've not had any problems with my dynamo and haven't heard any complaints elsewhere. Would be interested to hear the outcome...
