I did this with the front housings for the rear springs on the Semi-sports and the rear spring hangers for the front springs. All are now bolted on - tight! My rear spring housings weren't worn (they shouldn't wear unless the pin comes unscrewed?), but the threads were useless so I machined up a cou...

Short reach here, Jeremy. Never found a source of long-reach. Have not tried adapting down, but results might be interesting, and I think offer a greater range of plugs. Small victory yesterday - after several abortive attempts, built one good dynamo from two and tested it by shorting together the t...

Leaking fuel taps

Has anybody come up with a foolproof (or fuelproof!) way of sorting Minor fuel taps? I spent a good deal of time rebuilding one for the B-P recently - new cork, tightened the nut so the lever was just about operable and wire locked it as per the original. Lovely job. But it is alreay leaking like a ...

Looks like it was registered late 1932, but has 1934 season wings (and correct radiator shell for '33 season). Otherwise quite tidy. I'll see if I can get the chassis number.

Getting very close to completion. Nearside door finished, running board on with new 'Morris' rubber, beading on (will be chromed after the Summer Rally) and first rear wing fitted. Also hood frame completed with new ash bow and hood peak. Bonnet and radiator off to swap dynamos. The new hood will al...

Thie first photo show it as found: http://www.vintageminor.co.uk/Forumpix/OF%204554%201.JPG Here it is arriving at my home in Michigan. yes, that...

That is great info - many thanks. Have printed the table on page 108 and I'll take it to the MoT station with me just in case!

Jeremy, Very useful - many thanks. There is no mention of reflectors constituting the rear surface of the tail lights not counting, so I should be OK on that count. As for rear light positioning, the MoT seems only to be concerned with them being symmetrically placed, and states "Note: The prec...

MoT lighting question

I am getting close to shipping the 2-seater to the UK for the summer rally and it will need an MoT as soon as it clears customs. It has the original TF 201 lamp on the number plate on the right side of thwe tail and I am planning to fit a pair of Wilcot rear/number plate lamps under the tail. These ...

Well that sort of worked - it provided a link to click which is almost as good as putting the photos direct in the post - specially if you have multiple pics.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of the Minor.

Best regards,

Ian
