If you have not yet got the bearings go to Marksman in Aldershot. Their prices are good but they can be a little difficult to find . Phone 01252 345455 . I also live not far fro Haslemere.

Re: NV 2803 - 1933 McEvoy Special
Ian,
Could you please measure the stroke of the crank in the McEvoy and report back. When I get the answer I may put forward a theory to you. In the meantime have a good Christmas.

Re: KR 5670
HI Ian,
Have a look on the Prewar Minor website Hornet section. There is a picture of a Maltby Hornet reg KR9330 - could that be on "your chassis".

Re: KR 5670
Have you sent those details to Ron Turner the registrar of the Wolseley Hornet Special Club as he may be able to help.
Re: KR 5670
I have been told that if you look in the adverts sections of Motor and Autocar in the early thirties there were lots of adverts for Wolseley Hornet saloon bodies.

Re: Speedo cable repairs
Ian,
All SV Minors except very early ones have different speedometers and have different cable end details to the OHC Minors - I sure. Please check your McEvoy against your Minor saloon.

Re: UX9251
Toby,
The shackle at the rear of the front spring (bottom photo) does not look right. It looks too long and made of of two plates instead of a "U" section. I hope I am wrong.
