Re: VG2007

Thanks! I have a normal fanbelt so that will be fine than... Just another question, on the front cross member there are holes for both the early and later radiator. Is that normal or just for the few 1930 model cars built in say September 1929? I also noticed something about different fronts for the...

Re: VG2007

VG is back............ With the body panels around the engine at the painter it was time to do the radiator (see The Technical Thread ) The small dent is nearly gone, getting this better would require re chroming , as is wanted to keep some patina i decided the radiator surround is smart enough as i...

Re: early radiator, how to dismantle it

Hello Ian, Getting the radiator out of the early nickel shell was rather simple if you know how............. Just unsolder the two bottom tabs and saw through the two side connection/tabs  As you can see all is in a rather nice condition except for the dent.......the chrome is not perfect but...

early radiator, how to dismantle it

Hello, As you can see my early (1929)radiator shell has a small dent I want to get rid off.... The question is how to dismantle the radiator .I don’t want to damage the actual core just take the shell of the radiator.... Re: VG2007

Update It has been sometime since the last post. The engine is back in the chassis , it is a tight fit and not easy to put in there........ the body is also back on and fits nicely onto the shroud. the only bit of worry is the space or rather lack off space between the fan and the radiator...... all...

Re: VG2007

Ronald, There was some black paint on the bigger pipes and non on the smaller oil feed when i took them off the engine in the first place so thats why.......... I agree with you about them not being polished in the first place , they probably need annealing every 4 years or so ? that would ruin the ...

Re: Rocker problem

I also have the left ones, the hole you can see was made when the oil passage to the camshaft was drilled. It is closed of when the eccentric bush is fitted.
I don't think one would want a drianhole as i would like to keep the oil going to the camshaft where it's needed most.

Halbe
