Re: Pistons !!
Hi Ian !! Am in trouble again !! While checking and measuring, we discovered that one of the pistons is damaged, so I guess I will need a new set. Well, the top of the piston says O/S. 040, so it should be Oversize 40. But my restorer is planning to have a sleeve fitted in any case, so any size incl...

Re: Advance and Retard lever
Thanks a lot Ian !! I guess I will need the distributor, linkages, stalk, the works. However, I thing I might be able to have the stalk fabricated. Let me find out what my restorer says. He is already working on fabricating the water outlet for my Engine Head, so this just might work. Fabrication is...

Re: Advance and Retard lever
Well, I see exactly what you mean but sadly I have no stalk. This is what my steering column looks like. So all the linkages, controls and buttons are missing. Any suggestions ?

Re: Advance and Retard lever
Ah, I have been longing to fiddle with that since forever. For me, setting the lever, crank starting the car and making minor adjustments while driving are part of the joy of driving a vintage car. Sadly, this is one of the quirks which is missing in my Minor (the first and only vintage I own) !! So...

Re: 1934 Morris Minor 4 seater touring
I am tickled silly to know that I went out to get a "common man's car" and ended up with a rather rare car, and that too, in India, of all places !! Do tell me, Ian, exactly how rare is my car ?

1934 Morris Minor 4 seater touring
Look what I found !! It was a realization of a dream !! Great little car, though she has lots of mods from an earlier restoration by a past owner. I have managed to source the original carburettor, dynamo (minus the fan) and hand brakes that came with the car since the pictures were taken, but the r...
