relicensing without MOT

I think this may be of use. I got my tax reminder for PJ and as usual went to the DVLA website to tax it. The reminder has a note at the bottom to say that pre 1960 cars no longer need an MOT and like many cars my MOT expires shortly before the tax disc (you get your MOT to put the car back on the r...

Re: Happenings

I'd love to have some time for spanner work! Hoping for a drive on saturday to see if i've ironed out the dynamo gremlins, other than that I seem to spend all time working or typing!!! Perhaps lack of input means we are starting to ditch computers to make time for the garage?

spring pub meets

As is the tradition, I have organised a tri partisan spring meet for the new forest on drive it day, 21st April, at the new venue for the new forest centenary noggin. Not new to minorists, or many morris register members round here apparently, it is at the royal oak north gorley on 21st April.

sv saloon for sale

Gideon booth appears to have yet another saloon for sale in classic motor monthly, 1932 with hydraulic brakes fitted, complete with all parts and V5c but needs some restoration! I suspect it might not have its original reg. No. £3,500 ono

New "Centenary" Noggin in Hampshire

As you will be aware we have been having a bipartisan spring and autumn minor/morris meet. It seems from consultation and this being the centenary year for Morris, that a new Morris Register noggin might just work and I hope that we can encourage minor club members along too. A venue close to ringwo...

Re: 1932 2-seater on eBay

This is a good argument for oily rag preservation and if beyond immediate use then preserving as unrestored in a museum. not only would this restrict the cars available on the market so restored examples would reflect the restoration costs but also relieve the pressure to restore cars to absolute or...

Re: New Year's Day

Unusual happenings at the white buck, burley. Lots of cars but less than usual, more bizarrely an unknown (to me) saloon which I assume resides in the area somewhere. left note on it for the driver to see if we can get another local minor out on the pub meets or the proposed noggin. Hopefully it is ...
