Re: Minors sold at Auction

I think the man with the van out bid me on lot 70 ! so if you are contacting stags they may help you get in contact. I had spoken to him earlier in the day before rushing off for an upcoming lot. He said he had several minors including a van. I later saw the van in the carpark so I presume it was hi...

Minors sold at Auction

Two minors were sold last weekend at Stags Auction near Crediton in Devon. It was a huge sale of the collection of the late Ken Wills. The star of the auction was a 1904 De Dion and of course the two minors. Also amongst the cars was the 1927 De Dion my father sold to Ken about twenty years ago whic...

Re: Age related number plates

Thanks for the info. One chassis is definietely 31; it has the sv. type front cross memeber but with out the rear petrol tanl brackets. Its missing the 3rd digit. The other is 32 or 33 (rear tank brackets but not hydraulic).

Age related number plates

I have a 31 chassis with one letter of the chassis number obscured and a second sidevalve chassis with no number at all. The sidevalve engine that I would like to use in one of these also has an un-readable number! If I built one of these into a car; could I get an age related number plate? I've loo...

Re: Minor beating a bugatti!

There is also a great picture of the car in its later Hudson engined 'Triangle Special' form in the latest vscc bulletin. I have often wondered if the original minor chassis survived for this car after Ted Loyd-Jones re-built the car. It should be easy to identify as I think it is suppose to have ex...

Re: McEnvoy Minor.

This months Wolseley Hornet Special Club bulletin includes a review of the book by Richard Calver; 'A History of Jensen'. It includes the collaboration of Michael McEvoy with Jensen and the resulting McEvoy Minors. I suspect some of you already have it. It s available from the Jensen Owners Club and...

Re: Hydraulic Brakes

Thanks Ian. That may be the solution I opt for in the end. Ta MG rods at 23 pounds seem cheap and these use the clevis pin connector like a morris 8 so I could either modify my original pedal or Im wondereing if a morris 8 pedal would fit straight on and join up with the T type rod.

Re: Hydraulic Brakes

Thanks Toby. I will try David Parish next - presumably he's a Morris 8 man? I tryed the morris register but they have stopped stocking them also due to the high production costs. I looked in to early T type MGs. These appear to have the same or very similar master cylinder but with a different pedal...

Thanks Jeff for all that very useful info; if the morris register still stock them that sounds like the answer.

Re: Hydraulic Brakes

Many thanks for your replies. I tried past parts who sell alot of useful spares but sadly no minor master cylinder rods. I spoke to Eddie Wylde a while ago (I'll try again)- he still supplies new master cylinders and rods but no longer stocks original spec master cylinder rods due to a large increas...

Hydraulic Brakes

I need a master cylinder rod for a 34 minor (might be same as early morris eight). I think these were available new at one point but no one seems to stock them any more. Alternatively the whole master cylinder pedal assembly would also be of use. I'd be intrested in hearing from any one who has modi...
