Paul Finn Rally Ascot
Mike Stubbings attended the Paul Finn Rally in Ascot today and captured a couple of images of this late 31 Cheshire Registered £100 Minor. I wonder if this is an original colour scheme for the car, blue apparently being available for this model, late that season. Perhaps chromed OHC rads were also f...

Re: Urgent request
I have had a response from Garry Waiting in Kendle who should (hopefully) be able to resolve the issue. Lets hope Ted can now finish his car and get to the rally.

Re: Disturbing news
Totally agree with the sentiment but not the proposed action. Theft is a crime. I would feel very uncomfortable 'damming' anyone without knowing all of the facts.

Mike,
I use a glass & mesh re-usable filter in the Saloon. I empty its contents once a year and am always amazed at the amount of 'crud' it stops from entering the carb.

Re: My new project
As a plane spotting young erk in the late fifties I can remember seeing large numbers of Piper Colts and Tri-Pacers after they had been airfreighted and unloaded from Douglas DC 7F's in crates on the North Side of Heathrow. We parked our push bikes and crept into the resricted area to record the fac...

Re: Hardened valve seats?
Not too sure how to link to it, but there is another thread on Petrol here in which the subject of hardened valve seats is discussed. I just entered 'hardened valve' into the search box in the trhc - alternatively find it on page 2 of the Technical Index - the thread is entitled 'Petrol'.

Re: Forum posting problems anyone?
Ian,
I wish I did have some computer geek help - I could do with it about three times a day! My only suggestion is to try the forum which the hosts run to see if this has happened before.
http://www.phpbb.com/support/
There must be some help there.

Ian,
Make that four, as Roger Lucke has also been banned. I know Roger uses a Mac at work - could this be part of the issue?

Re: Minor 'guide'
Hi Orstin, What you are looking for is the 'Information Manual' on the Minor. It is published by the Morris Register and (I think) costs about £10. The edition you refer to was an early one, they are now printed 'properly' and are much more legible as a result. They were still available from the MR ...
