Jeremy,
Thanks for the reply. I now see just how it works. Much better than the drum brake on the trans bit of work. Merry Christmas to all!

Re: OHC gearbox gears needed
I checked with Sports and Vintage. The gears and parts they are having made fit only the 4 speed boxes. Just FYI.

Re: M type brakes
speaking of brakes, it seems there are two types of emergency brakes..one with a drum at the rear of the transmission, the other with some other set-up.
how was the later system hooked up, and what did it act upon?

Re: OHC gearbox gears needed
Hello all, Yes, it would be easier to fit a good box....if there were any over here in the States!! So far, I have been able to find SOME of the bearings (modern replacements). I twigged to just how bad this tranny is due to my Morris Minor transmission, which shifts like a hot knife through butter!...

OHC gearbox gears needed
Does anyone know who might have some spare good gears for my MG M type box? Mine are so worn they are incredibly noisy! If you have good gears hidden away and want to sell, please let me know. I had heard that someone in the UK was making new gears and layshafts but know little else. If no new or go...

Re: minor colours
Oxford blue......would this be the same Oxford blue MG used on some of their cars? It was, as I recall, quite a dark, rich blue. If so, I should be able to get formulation for it from the MG fellows.

windscreen hard ware
Hello,
Could anyone email some photos of the screws securing the windscreen supports to the body for a 29 Tourer, as well as the small surround screws? I have hardware bolts in place now, and I KNOW that isn't correct!
My email address is: 1939mgtb@comcast.net
Best regards,
Ray

Re: We made it!
I found the brake parts. I was so very tired that I missed it being put into the trailer! We did, however, manage to get 17 mpg at 70 mph while towing in the newly modified Suburban diesel. At least the fuel cost didn't kill me. I have noticed the Seattlites sometimes have gills...... :-) I didn't n...

Re: We made it!
Ian, We made it as well! My buddy and I drove straight through 13 hours to pick up the Minor, then 11 home. The difference was taken up by our having to drop off Riley parts part way (the cost of company!). The interior looks great, but I wish the trimmer had had more time to replace the hood and si...

Re: Market Flood
Hello all, We have our problems using early cars here in the States, but I find most drivers (at least on the weekend) are supportive of our reduced speeds. I admit that this may be a function of reduced traffic density here, but I know there are areas in the U.K. where the fastest thing going is a ...
