update, Nearly done all the fabricing! working on the beading. Hi Thomas, Phillip is right, the roads back in the twenties and thirties were a lot worse than today so the effect was not only to stiffen the springs a bit but also to keep the dirt out and the grease inside. For me I just like the way they look, Philip has the more effective solution. Regards, Halbe
