Sorry not sure but I think the backs were rewelded and the front seam brazed. Anyway Richards know what they are doing.

I have had five early Minor wheels repaired by Richards in Cardiff ,they brazed the outer joint and did a good job, I also had them respoked and powder coated.

Do not forget that it should have a special lock washer which I believe are available from Sports & Vintage. Could ask Mike to bring some to Prescott.

I presume that he has checked that the pressure relief valve is free and not seized up as the car has not been used for some time. What grade of oil is being used, I use a straight 30 and the valve blows off at about 80 psi cold.

I seem to remember in the past being told not to use stainless set screws in iron as it reacts and cannot be undone. If any threads in the block are stripped some have in the past tapped them out M7 as I believe the pitch is about the same. Could Morris used rubber solution (puncture repair glue) on...

Could it be that 33 Minors had 19 inch wheels and 34 Minors had 18 inch wheels.

Does anyone know which vehicle the 6 / 33 ratio was used on.

I do not think that I will be able to make the Phoenix but will go for drive if the weather is fine!!!

I have sufficient spares of both.

Obviously worth having as early SV's have a different manifold to the later ones. The change went with the change of head.

For sale on e-bay but requires a lot of work to the body. GV 1645 was first registered on 02 07 01933.
