Re: Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear.........

What a joke ! Replica ?

Perhaps the originator/builder is registered blind. We shouldn't mock the afflicted.

Re: Carburetter

Lee

I have examined my carburettor , and the spares , and there is no part like the one you have shown.

Contact me on my email address , anthony.gamble@btconnect.com , and we'll see what we can do to sort you out.

Re: Carburetter

I have one of these early carbs on my '28 fabric saloon. It seems to work Ok , maybe a bit susceptible to flooding .

What bit of yours is broken ? I have some spare parts for this type of carb.

Re: Dynamo Info

I have had a quotation from a very reputable company who have done superb work for me in the past, at a figure around £650 for a complete rebuild which includes all coils rewound, and I have always been surprised at the Nottingham prices. I believe that Jeremy has had problems with them in the past ...

Re: Optimistic!!!

Where do these people get their ideas from ? Rare ? Not really , they crop up on Ebay from time to time , and always at Beaulieu or MR rally at Thoresby. Condition. Nowhere near "good" condition. Price ? I would say divide by a factor of 10 , that would be nearer their value each. Tony G

Can't seem to connect with your listing. Can you give more details of the auction lots etc and where they were.

Re: Take Care - Possible Scam

Yes. I have a further response offering spares from a OHC saloon that is obviously NOT owned by this character.

Ignore or send suitable response back that you have sussed him out !!

Re: Wanted Parts for 1930 Tourer

Hi Andrew

This is the instrument panel for a '30 Tourer. Not like your '34 Coupe , unfortunately.

Re: Spot the difference

I believe that BF registrations are the latest "age related" numbers from DVLA now that the SV numbers have all been allocated , so no doubt someone has pinched the original number.

Otherwise it's the same car , surely !

I'll have a go for this as it's near to me.

Does anyone require this type of early [ not the earliest though ] wheel ?

Re: A Swallow replica?

Ian Your screen looks like one from a Standard Swallow rather than the A7 Swallow. The A7 Swallow windscreen is like the one shown on the Minor picture which is divided half way up the drivers side. In the Standard Swallow article from Practical Classics the windscreen does look exactly like the one...

Re: A Swallow replica?

Ian I too have contemplated such a project , especially with having a swallow tourer, and I also have acquired a saloon screen and spare wings. I have obtained the Standard Swallow restoration book and read some of it with interest. I feel that the cost of a saloon body , even just the ash frame , f...
