Re: Hartfords and the LCES

Has anyone tried Smiths shockers with the new non cork type linings as purchased by Halbe and me recently? Obviously we are not quite in a position to test them yet. By the way, we have benn told that there is no need to fill them with that dreaded thick grease as the linings are more akin to brake ...

Re: The annual membership contribution

I am glad my suggestion of Pay Pal worked. The only thing I don't understand is, we are all probably frequent ebay purchasers and in my opinion there is no other way to pay so did most members think that was the only way to use it?. Ian you might investigate how to send a Paypal invoice so that your...

Re: Minor 'guide'

Chris, Are we talking of the Harry Edwards Manual? I am sure the latest edition is still available from the MR and a first edition was on ebay last week with a start price of £15. It aqttracted no bids. The early versions were a bit Roneo but the later version is very smart.

Good luck Orstin :D

Re: Hundred Pound ash frames

Absolutely agree. At least it keeps all the bits in one place. If a body is so bad that it would involve horrendous costs to renovate thenit seems to me that putting on a different body is a much better option than creating another pile of spares. Ultimately this course of action would surely lead t...

Mike, from the look of the cabling someone has already sorted the electrics or is it that you have already done this work?

Re: VG 3260

Mike, Your VG looks to be in pretty good fettle. When do you think she will be on the road? I was rempted but I.m glad I din't bid and force up the price for you. Had the Gods decided otherwise we might have finished up with VG and you may have won SL. Who cares? We have saved two between us. ATB Cl...

I will need a pair if not two. I think this would be a good item to stock up on at a reasonable price wouldn't it?

Re: 1929 OHC saloon on EBay

Ian, I know you have the body, engine and chassis number which I will check. Do you also collect radiator numbers? If you do it is 1265 234. Other info: The car was purchased by Godfrey Cross's father from a Mr Bill Davies of Westlake Speedway motor Cycle Fame in 1980. Godfrey thinks the car came fr...

Re: 1929 OHC saloon on EBay

I will know more when we collect her. I will also be contacting Harry Edwards. I din't understand the technicalities and as the number was not mentioned on the ebay posting I assumed the number had gone and is on someones Mercedes. I still went ahead based on the description of the work carried out ...
